It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Janet Denise Bates (Mint Hill, North Carolina), born in Pinehurst, North Carolina, who passed away on June 11, 2019, at the age of 57, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, James McInnis and Linda Byrd McInnis; and her brothers, James "Eugene" and Anthony McInnis. She is survived by: her husband Robert "Bobby" Bates; her son Matthew Watts of Mint Hill; her stepson Shane Bates (Kimber); her stepgrandchildren, Lexie and Autumn; her pet Jack; her sisters, Patti McInnis of Matthews and Karen McInnis of Concord; and her close friends, Leanne and Tony Thrower.
