He was predeceased by: his parents, Jerry Bain Honeycutt and Peggy Foard Honeycutt; and his brother David Honeycutt. He is survived by: his wife Linda Honeycutt; his son Michael Honeybutt II (Patti); and his siblings, Jake Honeycutt (Melody), Eyvonne Carriker and Sue Kramer (David). He is also survived by cousins, nieces and nephews.
