He was predeceased by: his mothers, Margaret Elizabeth Roach and Margaret Elizabeth McManus; and his stepfather John McManus. He is survived by: his daughters, Terry R. Perault (Rick Pruitte), Lisa R. Funderburk (Brian Funderburk) and Misty D. Owen (Kevin Owen); the mother of his children Brenda B. Roach of Matthews, NC; his grandsons, Alan R. Arrington of Matthews, NC, Christopher L. Claud of Fort Mill, SC and Danny L. Funderburk of Heath Springs, SC; and his sister Sandra Jamison of Mint Hill, NC. He is also survived by three great-granddaughters.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Wounded Warriors Project or the American Cancer Society.
