He was predeceased by: his son Robert Espin of Las Vegas; his parents, Delia Espin and Carlos Espin of Charlotte; and his sisters, Linda Espin and Diana Hege.
He is survived by: his children, Angela Espin (Steve Tyler), David Espin (Lisa), Greg Malkin and David Malkin of Waxhaw; his brothers, Al Espin (Debbie), Rick Espin, Carlos Espin (Arlene) and Tommie Espin of Mint Hill; his grandchildren, Neila Espin, Sabrina Espin, Ariana Espin, Joshua Malkin and Michael Malkin; and his great grandchild Preston Malkin.
