He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Neal and Zelma Ziesemer Richarz; and his brother Robert Neal Richarz. He is survived by: his wife Jean Faircloth Richarz; and his stepchildren, Steven Mason, Mike Mason (Lela), Pete Mason (Sandy), Debbie Rose, Kathy Mason (Randy Seabolt) and Sherry Baudreaux. He is also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the American Heart Association.
