It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Eugene Joseph Bantekas (Mocksville, North Carolina), born in Pittsfield, Massachusetts, who passed away on March 4, 2022, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Efthymios E. Bantekas and Ethel Winifred Bannister Bantekas; and his wife Gloria Ann Birtwell Bantekas. He is survived by: his daughters, Karen Bantekas Blakley (Tony, Jr.) of Mocksville, Susan Bantekas Egolf (Chris) of Parker and Lori Bantekas (Chris Lundberg) of Victor, ID; his grandchildren, Troy Alexander Blakley (Amanda), Jourdan Victoria Blakley, Mckenna Reid Egolf, Jack Oliver Egolf and Samuel Owen Egolf; and his great grandchild Santana Alexander Grier.
