She was predeceased by: her son Spencer David Laney; and her grandparents, Lois Buddin Carter Crolley of Rock Hill, SC, James Bonham Carter of Georgetown, SC and Hershey Hipps of Green Mountain. She is survived by: her sons, Lawson Guy Laney and Jeston Spence Laney of Weatherford, OK; her parents, Kitty Hipps Carter of Green Mountain, NC and William L. Carter (Beth Campbell) of Ft. Mill, SC.; her brothers, James Hart Carter of Monroe and William Robert Carter of Green Mountain; and her grandmother Ada Lee Hipps of Green Mountain. She is also survived by many cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Heritage Funeral Home in Indian Trail to help defray funeral expenses.
