He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Plyler and Edith Mangum Plyler; his wife Gale Griffin Plyler; and his brother Fred Plyler. He is survived by: his sons, Cameron Plyler and Amon Plyler (Eilene); his siblings, David Plyler, Ron Plyler, Diane Griffith, Barbara O'Donohue and Mary Mosley; and his granddaughter Tanya Broach.
