She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Clinton D. Benton, Sr. and Murielle Hinde Benton; her siblings, Clinton D. Benton, Jr., Olivia Benton and Joy Benton Shute; her siblings' children, Joseph Shute (Joe) and Amanda Shute Sullivan; her great-nephew Nicholas Sullivan; her great-nieces, Jennifer Shute Murphy (Kevin), Sarah Shute Kozuch (Marek), Laurel Shute Fox (Jennifer) and Emma Sullivan; and also, Brooklyn, Abigail, Keaton, Matias, Brayden, Colin, Dylan and Evan.
In lieu of flowers the family request memorials be made to First Baptist Church of Monroe, 109 W. Morrow Ave, Monroe, NC 28112.
