He was predeceased by: his parents, Julian Brigman "Pete" Rivers and Mamie Lee Tomlinson Rivers. He is survived by: his wife Brenda Hyatt Rivers; his children, Jonathan Rivers of Mocksville and Rebecca Rivers of Wadesboro; his grandchildren, Charlene, Leroy and Thomas; his siblings, Sarah "Teena" Hatcher (Alex) of Henderson and William Lewis "Billy" Rivers (Martha) of Polkton; his stepdaughter Debbie Reeve (Willie) of Monroe; and his cousin Betty Lou Horne of Peachland. He is also survived by sister; his faithful canine companion, "Baby Girl" and other dear family members and friends.
