She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband D. S. Outen; her children, Jim Outen (Patty) of Waxhaw, Don Outen (Pam) of Concord, Denny Outen (Cathy) of Waxhaw and Elaine Van Dyke (David) of Pageland; and her siblings, James Gordon, Kathleen Robinson, Lois Simpson and Polly Haigler. She was also cherished by eight grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
