He was predeceased by: his parents, Delbert Haynes and Mary Haynes; his wife Georgine Manieri Haynes; and his brothers, Frederick and George Haynes.

He is survived by: his children, David (Joanne) of Bethlehem, PA, Garry (Patricia) of Monroe, NC, Jeff (Donna) of Pine Hall, NC and Carol Haynes Coke (Larry). He is also survived by nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
