He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis Mical and Clara Mical; his wife Carol Sue Tidd Mical; and his siblings, Brenda Springs, Kay Helms and Donnie Mical.

He is survived by: his children, Duane Mical, Lee Mical (Nancy), Marla Deviney (Kenneth) and Wesley Mical (Shari); his stepchildren, Mike, Paul, John and Kelli; and his brothers, Vernon Mical (Judy) and Louis Mical (Susie). He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be given to Roanoke Baptist Church, 618 Roanoke Church Road, Monroe, NC 28110.
