She was predeceased by: her parents, Marcus Blair Haywood and Nora Godfrey Price Haywood; her husband Henry C. Byrum; her daughter Peggy Byrum Melton; and her siblings, Clyde Haywood, Jennings Haywood, Billie Joe Haywood, Olive Boatright, Margaret Price and Barbara Pope.
She is survived by: her children, Jean Alexander, Henry C. Byrum Jr. (Beverly) and Marcus Lynn Byrum (Dianne); and her sister Betty Lathan. She is also survived by her eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be given to Union United Methodist Church, 6315 New Town Road, Waxhaw, NC 28173.
