It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ethel Morgan Thomas of Monroe, North Carolina, who passed away on June 26, 2020, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Brady Morgan and Leona Hinson Morgan; her husband Gene S. Thomas; and her siblings, Coy Morgan, Dwight Morgan, Lavane Robinson and Betty Morgan Burris.
She is survived by: her children, Barry Gene Thomas of Monroe, Mark C. Thomas (Mary Lee) of Wingate, Sharon Thomas Steele (George F. Steele Jr.) of Monroe and Terry Thomas Little (Ron B. Little) of Florence, Mississippi; her brother Jim Morgan of Stanfield, NC; her grandchildren, Amy Griffin, Trae Steele, Lauren Almond, Samuel Little, Joshua Little, Meghan Thomas, Brad Thomas and Leah Thomas; her great grandchildren, Kayla Griffin, D. J. Griffin, Jake Griffin, Ava Steele and Victoria Almond; and her friend Merle Baker.
