She was predeceased by: her parents, Martin Luther Young and Anna Stratton Hodge Young; and her son Adam Marshall. She is survived by: her son Daniel Marshall (Kenyia); her brother Martin Young Jr. (Zelda); her husband Jeffory Marshall; and her close friend Russell Johnston.
