He was predeceased by: his parents, Hurley G. Chaney and Rossie Lee Medlin Chaney; and his sister Joyce Bivens. He is survived by: his wife Loretta Mangum Chaney; his children, Rodney Chaney (Amy) and Robin Chaney Starnes (Jeff); his siblings, Thurman Chaney, Aubrey Chaney and Lucille Rushing; his grandchildren, Andrew Williams, Nicholas Williams (Katie), Danielle Chaney Lowder (Jacob), Erica Chaney, Taylor Starnes Burris (Zack), Trevor Chaney, Madison Williams, Lily Starnes, Jacob Starnes, Camryn Belk and Adyson Belk; and his great grandchildren, Reagan Williams, Liam Williams, Keira Williams, Emery Burris and Charlotte Lowder.
