He was predeceased by: his parents, John Hughes Lingle Sr. and Ruth Walters Lingle Hilton; his son Christopher Hughes Lingle; and his brother John Hughes Lingle, Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Vivian Jones Lingle of Monroe; his children, Donna Dee Lingle of Monroe, Jan Frank Lingle Jr. (Kim) of Monroe and Ian Stephen Lingle (Ashlyn) of Monroe; his siblings, Vicki Hilton Plyler (Doug) of Waxhaw, Julia Hilton of Charlotte, Terri Lingle Mills of Monroe, Beth Lingle of Monroe, Pat Hilton Cooper (Jim) of Waxhaw and Rick Hilton (Julie) of Chesterfield, SC; his brother-in-law Donald Jones (Cathy) of Monroe; and his grandchildren, Austin, Brandon, Camdan, Chase, Faith, John, Aria, Oliver and Trowa.
Due to Covid 19, Mr Lingle requested a private service at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Chidlrens Research Hospital, the Community Shelter of Union County, Union County Animal Shelter or to Ground 40.
