He was predeceased by: his parents, John Hall Helms, Sr. and Sue Lee Helms. He is survived by: his wife Jane Helms; his daughters, Sheila Helms of Monroe and Kimberly Helms Nicholls (Scot) of Monroe; and his grandchildren, Sarah Nicholls, Madelin Nicholls and Jackson Nicholls.
The family requests, in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
