He was predeceased by: his parents, Vann Secrest and Jane Secrest. He is survived by: his children, Joshua Secrest (Julia), Jennie Secrest, Jeffrey Secrest and Jacob Secrest; his grandchildren, Judah Secrest, Jonah Secrest and Daniel Long; and his siblings, Martha Asti (Russ), William Secrest (Debbie) and Mary Helen Treece (Kenneth).

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be given to Monroe Rehabilitation Center, 1212 E. Sunset Drive, Monroe, NC 28112.
