He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, John DeFore and Margaretta Schafer DeFore; his wife Rachel Eason DeFore; his son Dennis Avery Crooke; his brother Neil DeFore; his children, Phillip A. Crooke (Daniela) of Virgina and Stephanie DeFore of Delaware; his grandchildren, Kevin Crooke, Dustin Crooke, Noah Thomas and Madison Thomas; and his sister Joretta Roloff.
