She was predeceased by: her parents, Roddy Gray Turner and Carolyn Sue Turner. She is survived by: her husband Randy Simpson; her daughter Lindsey Denton Hucks (Richard); her stepdaughter Jessica Simpson Helms (William); her grandchildren, Harley and Hopper Helms; and her siblings, Susan Turner and Gray Turner (April). She is also survived by nieces (Ashlen, Layton, Grayson), nephew (Aaron) and many cousins.

Julie Turner Simpson, age 59, of Monroe, North Carolina passed at Pruitt Health-Union Pointe on February 1, 2019, surrounded by family and friends, after a long, brave fight with Alzheimer's.
