He was predeceased by: his parents, Harlie Baucom and Mildred Baucom; and his sister Marcia Parker. He is survived by: his sisters, Myra Laney (Boyce), Mary Moore (Russell), Jill Efird and Julie Johnson (Harold). He is also survived by his nephew and nieces.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be given to Union Baptist Church, 4312 Old Pageland Monroe Road, Monroe, NC 28112.
