He is survived by: his wife Annette Sowers Kennedy; his children, Lawerence Kennedy, Jr. (Lesley) of Orlando, FL, Kevin Kennedy (Kirsten) of Indian Trail, NC. and Leslie Brett (Drew) of Indian Trail, NC.; his grandchildren, Katelynn Dermid (Cody), Karleigh Sizemore (Zach), Konner Kennedy (Gabi), Nathan Kennedy, Toby Brett, Holden Brett and Remly Brett; his great grandchild Lewis Dermid; and his siblings, James Kennedy of Kinston, NC and Martha Parkhurst of Jacksonville, NC. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
