She was predeceased by : her parents, Thomas Gordon and Frankie Mae Gordon. She is survived by : her husband William Thomas Rorie IV; her daughters, Susan Wheeler (Dennis) and Cynthia Carnes (Mike); her sister Kathy Laney (Danny); her grandchildren, Corey Wheeler (Arwyn), Ashton St. Louis (Matthew), Faith Windsor (Brett) and Hannah Carnes; and her pet Rudy. She is also survived by two great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers the family request memorials be made to Mountain Springs Baptist Church, 2509 Mountain Springs Church Road, Monroe, NC 28112.
