He is survived by: his spouse Sara Rape Rushing; his daughters, Cynthia Phillips (Dan) and Brenda Helms (Joe); his brothers, Hue Rushing (Belva) and Larry Rushing (Carolyn); his grandson Kristopher Watkins (Arisa); his great grandchildren, Kara Poteet, Emma Watkins and Ryker Watkins; and his sisters-in-law, Lucille Rushing and Mildred Rushing.
