She was predeceased by: her parents, Cyrus Lee and Bessie Love Brooks; and her husband Elder Newell Helms. She is survived by: her children, Dennis Helms, Karon Williams (Dana), Anita Baucom (Craig) and Emily Huffstetler (Steve); her grandchildren, Matthew Helms (Lorie), Sharla Poling, Amanda Huneycutt (Jason), Luke Helms (Victoria), Stephanie Tokhi (Javid), Samuel Garrett, Kasey Haigler, Kyle Baucom (Emmy), Abby King (Duffie), Justin Price, Jordan Price and Courtney Price; and her brother Dwight Brooks (Nancy Jo). She is also survived by her nineteen great-grandchildren.
