He was predeceased by: his parents, B. T. Somers and Hattie Hancock Somers. He is survived by: his wife Deborah E. Somers; his daughters, Jacquelyn Rogers of Wilmington, N. C., Dinah Somers and Pamela Jean Somers; his grandchildren, Jackson Dane Rogers and McKenna Lee Rogers; and his sister-in-law Betty Somers. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
