He is survived by: his spouse Elizabeth Lapinsky of Monroe, NC; and his children, Susan Fowle (Daniel) of Gainesville, GA, Jennifer Szupka (Tony) of Sumter, SC, Kimberly Speelman (Stephen) of Unionville, NC, Beth Harris (Adam) of Dallas, TX, Rachel Broome (Chuck) of Knoxville, TN and Richard Lapinsky Jr. (Alison) of Monroe, NC.. He is also survived by 23 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
