With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Susie Smith (Monroe, North Carolina), who passed away on March 2, 2018 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parent Silas Mullis; her husband Coy Muckle Smith; her children, Gwendolyn Smith Staton, Jeffery Lynn Smith and Gregory Scott Smith; her son-in-law Carroll Staton; her grandson Randy Smith; and her siblings, Virginia Love, Rufus Mullis, Oscar Mullis (Bill), Bessie High, Doris Brooks, Lee Dale Edwards, Betty Jo Kiker, Edsel Mullis and Ralph Mullis.
She is survived by: her parent Lettie Mullis; her children, Bill Smith (Debra) of Marshville, Malia Cornelius (Cody) of Mocksville and Michele Spillman (Richard); her daughters-in-law, Wanda Thomas Staton of Marshville and Ann Kiker Smith of Monroe; and her grandchildren, John Staton, Tracy Griffin, Tommy Staton, Caty Smith, Paul Smith, Mary Mikeska, Lauren Osmond, Amanda Osmond, Jennifer Spillman, Laura Spillman and Michael Spillman.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Longs Grove Advent Christian Church cemetery fund or Mountain Valley Hospice.
