He is survived by: his wife Georgia Blount Hamilton; his children, James Thomas Hamilton, Eddie Lewis Hamilton, Timothy Lee Hamilton, Alden Alexander Hamilton, Jeremiah Levon Wilson, Matthew Douglas Chambers, Terry Lockhart, Maria Hamilton, Betty Merritt, Dorthea Mejia, Donna Solla and Caroline Grier; and his siblings, Jerry Hamilton, V. L. Hamilton, Susie Ricketts, Luzetta Baker, Ethel Blackmon, Mary Alston and Linda Bowman. He is also survived by twenty seven grandchildren, and thirty two great grandchildren.
