It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Velma Freeman of Monroe, North Carolina, who passed away on October 7, 2020, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John David and Mary Ester Edwards Nance; and her husband John, Sr.. She is survived by: her children, John Freeman (Judy) of Mint Hill, NC and Susan F. Threatt (Steve) of Monroe; and her grandchildren, Sara Freeman Thomas, Joey Rudick, Brian Rudick, Stevie Nicole Threatt and Joshua Cody Threatt. She is also survived by 5 great-grandchildren.
Due to Covid 19, the services will be family attended only.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital or To New Home Baptist Church.
