She is survived by: her husband Walter Medlin Sr.; her daughters, Wendy Medlin Secrest (Bryan) and Scarlett Johnson (Matt); her siblings, Roger Simpson (Sue) and Helen Price (Joe Neil); her grandchildren, Morgan Whitaker (Jonathan), Jordan Strickland (Lyndsey), Madisen Parker, Dalton Medlin, Nolan Johnson and Ava Johnson; her great grandchildren, Jonah, Jebsen, Joel Whitaker and Leeland Jenkins; and her stepgrandchildren, Blair, Haley, Zach Secrest and Kaitlyn Johnson.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Novant Matthews Inpatient Hospice and Palliative Care.
