He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar Brantley and Pearl Brantley; his wife Mary Blake Brantley; and his son Guy Brantley. He is survived by: his sons, Don Brantley (Pamela) and Ted Brantley (Donna); and his grandchildren, Clark Brantley (Stephani), Ansley Sheeran (Paul), Megan Auch (Matt), Michael Brantley, Nick Brantley (Jackie), Jennifer Brantley and Mackenzie Brantley (Steven). He is also survived by his eight great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be given to Union Grove Primitive Baptist Church, 3619 Morgan Mill Road, Monroe, NC 28110.
