He was predeceased by : his parents, George Carl Silver and Lillian Irene Lancaster; his wife Donaleen G. Silvers; his daughter Pamela Miller; and his brother Dewitt Silver.
He is survived by : his children, Joanie Silvers West of Forest City, James Garren (Trisha) of Tabor City, NC and Teddy Lovelace (Lesley) of Cliffside; his siblings, Donald Silver (Jetty) of Clyde, NC, Norris Silver, Brenda Anthony (Randy) of Boiling Springs, NC and Janice Swink (Don) of Harris; and his grandchildren, Cynthia, Amber, Kasey, Felicia, Kelicia, Hollee, Syrenty and Gerald L. Miller of Mooresboro.
