He was predeceased by: his parents, Martin E. "Buster" Oehler and Janie Monteith Oehler; his wife Christine Crisp Oehler; and his brother William "Billy" N. Oehler. He is survived by: his children, Matt Oehler and Melanie Cruse; his grandchildren, Haley Sinnes (Matt), Hannah Oehler, Talon Cruse, Chase Oehler and Matthew Oehler; his great grandchildren, Joseph and Olivia Sinnes; his sister Patsy Oehler; and his close friend Jean Robinette White.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 10th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Mallard Creek Presbyterian Church (1600 Mallard Creek Rd, Charlotte, NC 28262). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 10th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, July 10th 2025 from 3:15 PM to 3:45 PM at the Mallard Creek Presbyterian Church Cemetery (1600 Mallard Creek Rd, Charlotte, NC 28262).
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Shriner's Children's Greenville, c/o Oasis Shriners, 604 Doug Mayes Place, Charlotte, NC 28262 or the Westmoreland Wheelhouse, 13420 Westmoreland Rd, Huntersville, NC 28078, both causes that were dear to Martin's heart.
