He was predeceased by : his parents, Robert Harrison Lewis, Sr. and Evelyn Gilbert Lewis; his wife Joyce Ann Mundy Lewis; his son Michael Barry Lewis, Jr.; and his brother Bob Lewis.

He is survived by : his son Mark Lewis (Joanna); his grandsons, Joseph Lewis and Zachary Lewis; his niece Tracy Lewis Moore (Ken); and his nephew Bobby Lewis (Kathy).

A reception was held on Saturday, May 4th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Cavin-Cook Funeral Home ((Hwy 150), 494 E Plaza Dr, Mooresville, NC 28115).
