She was predeceased by : her parents, Charles F. Capps and Annie Hudspeth Capps; her husband Kenneth R. Curtis; and her sisters, Mary Francis McGinnis and Polly Neal.

She is survived by : her son Kenneth Curtis II; her daughter-in-law Tanya; her sister Mattie Teague; her grandchildren, Julie Dawn Poole, Maxwell Curtis, Tony Curtis and Trey Causby; and her great grandchildren, Dylan Poole and Emerson Andreas. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
