He is survived by: his wife Alice "Betty" W. Guthrie of Morehead City; his children, Elizabeth Olese Lenhart (Scott) of Havelock and Marvin Leland Guthrie (Stella) of Beaufort; and also Clem Gillikin of Morehead City. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
