He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Emerson Humphrey "Pop" and Madaline Martin Humphrey "Patti"; his son-in-law Bill Gerrans; and his grandson Walter Emerson "Emery" Humphrey IV. He is survived by: his wife Marie; his children, Trent Humphrey Gerrans, Walter Emerson "Trey" Humphrey Ill (Kristi) and Amanda Humphrey James (Todd); his grandchildren, Zan Gerrans, Eli Gerrans, Hailey Humphrey and Cole James; his sister Norrine Gray (Calvin); and his sister-in-law Suzan Stafford (Bill).
