He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Anne Nichols Carswell; his children, Dolly R. Carswell and Timothy A. Carswell; his siblings, Jerry Carswell (Donna), Edward Carswell (Susan), Brenda Nalley (Ed) and Linda Annas (Mike); his aunt Ruby Bowman; and his brother-in-law Jeff Pfeifer (Susan). He is also survived by nine nephews; six nieces; thirteen great-grandnephews; and eight great-grand nieces.
