Bennett of Glen Alpine and Arnold "Ricky" Benfield, II; his wife DeRae Chase of Weaverville, NC; his stepchildren, Bonnie Ledford Strowd (Mike) of Pittsboro, NC and Charles "Chuck" Ledford of Morganton; his grandchildren, Nathan Bennett, Christopher Bennett, Maddy Shuffler, Zalie Chase and Corbin Chase; his siblings, Oscar Benfield of Icard, NC, Rex Benfield and Sharon B. Munday of Spruce Pine, NC; and also Angela B. Chase (Glen). He is also survived by husband, father, grandfather, and brother.
