It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Barbara Smith Baird (Morganton, North Carolina), who passed away on November 2, 2019, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Raymond Smith and Virgie Lail Smith; her grandson Patrick Baird; and her siblings, Ellis, W. C., Paul Smith and Rebecca S. Newton.
She is survived by: her husband Clyde H. Baird; her children, Denise Anthony of Morganton, Gregory Baird (Vickie) of Inman, SC, Christopher Baird (Vickie) of Morganton and Tashia Fisher (Jerry) of Conover; and her grandchildren, Matthew Anthony, Sarah Bennett, Thomas Baird, Amanda Davenport, Zack Baird, Danielle Adams and Anthony Fisher. She is also survived by eleven great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
