She was predeceased by: her parents, Guy Brown and Louise Shaw Brown; her sister Mary Brown Long; and her brother-in-law Dwight Long. She is survived by: her husband Kenneth Eugene Rutherford Sr; her children, Sonya Brown, Vanessa Brown (Anthony) and Gregory Brown; her stepchildren, Peggy Chambers (Wallace), Patsy Parks, Sheila Rutherford and Kenneth Rutherford, Jr. (Celika); her siblings, Gracie Jackson, Dorothy Johnson (Harvey), Sarah Fowler (Elledge), Guy Brown Jr., Kenneth Brown (Thelma) and Fredrick Brown; her grandchildren, Akendra, Christopher, Darian, Brian, Chazman, Jalan, Jordan, Aundraia and A'mira; and her great grandchildren, Malaia, Alliyah, Alivia, Colton, Tre and Brian Jr. She is also survived by eleven step grandchildren, twelve step great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
