With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Charles Lindbergh Phillips (Morganton, North Carolina), who passed away on April 27, 2019 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Cameron Will Phillips and Mary Elizabeth Benfield Phillips; his grandson Dennis Phillips; and his siblings, Carl, Maran, Phifer, Hennessee, Buck Phillips, Ruth, Louise, Inez, Dolly and Cornelia.
He is survived by: his wife Mary "Sally" McMahan Phillips; his children, Rev. Kenneth Phillips (Andra), Kathy Greene, Tommy Phillips, Elaine Dale (Paul) and Mary Elizabeth Phillips; and his grandchildren, Lisa Carpenter, Crystal Johnson, Danny Brackett, Christopher Brackett, Heather Harris, Vincent Shell, Tonya Shell, Amanda Hammons and Andy Dale. He is also survived by 20 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren.
