He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Doctor Franklin Hipps and Mamie Taylor Hipps; his wife Beulah Mae Hall Hipps; his children, Bobby Gene Hipps of Morganton, Tommy Len Hipps (Carolyn) of Morganton and Judy Benfield (Kenneth) of Morganton; his siblings, Bonnie Hipps Williams of Morganton and Joseph Ray Hipps (Lola) of Morganton; his grandchild Johnny Vance; and his siblings, Carl Hipps, Thurman Hipps, Bill Hipps, James Hipps and Della Hipps Williams.
