He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Curtis of Washington and Della Bentley Curtis; his stepmother Ruth Curtis; his siblings, Loyd, Ernest, Howard, Luther, Carl, John Curtis, Roena Terrell, Ruth Carswell and Mae Ferguson; his half-brothers, Dean and Buck Curtis; and his great grandchild William Cole Walker.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Helen Rathburn Curtis; his sons, Randy Curtis (Linda) and Robin Curtis (Terry); his grandchildren, Jennifer Walker, Amber Summers and Garrett Curtis; his brother Ralph Curtis; and his half-siblings, Ray, Clyde, Bob, Charles Curtis and Pat Huntley. He is also survived by step-brothers, step-sisters, nieces, nephews, and other extended family.
