He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Norman and Mamie Norman; and his brothers, Glen and Grover Norman. He is survived by: his wife Eldorador Patton Norman; his son Donald Eugene Norman (Julie); his granddaughter Christy Norman Fleming (Andrew); his great grandchildren, Elizabeth Brown and David Alexander Brown; and his siblings, Pearline Norman, Margie Patton, Jim Norman, Henry Norman and Charles Norman. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Memorial contributions may be made to Mt. Olive Baptist Church or to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
