He is survived by: his wife Lori Rosenfeld Ashley; his children, Jessica Fort (Chris) of Miami, FL and David Jonathan Ashley, Jr. of Morganton; his grandchildren, Maddison Fort and Mason Fort; and his siblings, Donald Ashley (Krystal), Bryant Ashley and Elizabeth Edney (Richard). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
