She was predeceased by : her father Joe Lewis Scott; her stepfather James William McCorkle; and her son Daniel. She is survived by : her mother Willie Griffin McCorkle; her son Joseph; and her brothers, Lennis Walker (Karen), Larry McCorkle (Trinia) and Lyndon McCorkle. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude's Children Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.
